PENCOMBE AND LITTLE COWARNE WI
Pencombe and Little Cowarne Women’s Institute meet at the Parish Hall on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.
Our WI was formed in 1924 and currently has 19 members. It is a great opportunity to meet other women with all kinds of interests and backgrounds and make local friendships. Perhaps you are single or a carer or have recently moved to the area and are looking to build up your social network in a safe, welcoming environment. If so, why not come along one evening and see if you enjoy the experience?
Each meeting begins with a short business section followed by a talk or social event. We finish with a cup of tea and a chat, leaving the hall around 9:30pm. Look at our programme to see the kinds of entertainments we put on and where we go for our summer outings.
There is no requirement to join the organisation, but membership offers benefits such as reduced meeting fees, a magazine and access to activities organised by the County and National WI’s including handicraft and cookery courses and social campaigning.
