Yoga is an ancient philosophy which has the aim of bringing about a state of perfect wellbeing.
Hatha Yoga (which is the most commonly practiced form in the west) uses exercise to improve one’s physical and mental health, bringing suppleness, strength and stamina.
A yoga session will include limbering exercises, asanas (postures), breathing techniques and relaxation.
Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities but if you are concerned about past injury or existing health conditions it would be wise to consult your GP before practicing.
